Awesome Travel Sketching Course
When I was looking through students’ works before buying the course, I was honestly surprised that people who were just starting could draw like that.
I've long wanted to try sketching, to try drawing in cafes and on the street. But I always hesitated. Because the result was a lottery. Now, knowing the basics of travel sketching, it's easy and enjoyable for me to draw. Because now it always turns out well!
One great piece of advice from the course was to always finish your drawing, even when it feels like you’ve already messed it up. So many abandoned sketches are just waiting to be completed!
During the course, I realized that my linework technique was lacking. So I also completed this course. And now I feel confident when I finish my work.
I felt a weight of responsibility in my last project. But I think I pulled it off. I never would have thought I could draw like this. Without the course, I wouldn't have even tried.
Special thanks to Alexey for the clear explanations. For the excellent topics, references, and tons of useful tips, tricks, and techniques. In every lesson, I discovered something I didn't know before.
Thank you for the course! I bought more courses for myself and my child 🌷

Thank you so much for the course!
It boosted my drawing skills and reduced my fear of challenging projects. The main result of taking it is that I brought back a completed sketchbook with over 30 pieces from my last trip. I did it, and it was a blast! Thank you for the knowledge and inspiration!!!
Svetlana’s artwork
This is already the third course I’ve taken with Alexey Zhalibo.
The lessons helped me learn how to build compositions properly, place visual accents, and revisit technique once again. I really like Alexey’s style overall, so watching him work, observing his hand in the process, listening to his advice and even small remarks is extremely useful and productive. It helps develop visual awareness and good artistic taste.
I recommend choosing the option with feedback it feels more engaging and more personal.
In this particular course, the feedback is provided not by Alexey himself but by a curator, which is something to keep in mind.
Thank you once again. Until next time, I hope 😊

A great course and a great teacher! I really like his approach to teaching. I believe this course works well for students with different skill levels (for example, my level wasn’t very high, but I still went through the course with real enjoyment).
For me, the real value of the course is that doing the lessons helps you loosen up. I’ve already started slowly going outside with my sketchbook and drawing from life — and, most importantly, not being afraid of it anymore. Thank you, Alexey, for that!
Maria’s artwork
Thank you for this wonderful course! Now, when I travel or simply walk around the city, I see houses, streets, and small details in a completely different way. I want to notice everything and capture it in my sketchbook.
The fear of the blank page is gone along with that feeling of 'what if it doesn’t work' or 'where do I even start'

Video lesson
You’ll get clear material recommendations in a dedicated lesson, where the teacher shows the tools he uses, explains how to use them, and what each tool is for.
From simple to complex — step by step
We start with the basics: simple tools, materials, and clear techniques. You’ll learn what to sketch with, how to choose paper, and how to begin without overthinking. Then you start drawing right away — at home, in a comfortable space. You sketch a self-portrait in the mirror, everyday objects, food — loosening your hand, training your eye, and building confidence.
Step by step, the tasks grow. You work with color, contrast, and form, sketch from references, then move to real-life scenes: urban spaces, architecture, people in motion. We explain how to simplify complex subjects, see structure, textures, and depth — and you immediately apply it in practice.
By the end of the course, simple sketches feel easy and natural, and complex scenes no longer feel intimidating. You know how to start, how to continue, and how to turn any scene into a strong, expressive sketch.
From the first line — to confident, bold sketching.
Personal feedback that moves you forward
In this course, you can choose the personal feedback option —
so you don’t just practice, you grow faster, and your confidence grows with every lesson.
How it works
After each lesson, you upload your work on the platform.
A dedicated instructor reviews it and sends you clear, detailed feedback:
- what already works well
- what to improve next
- where to focus your attention
- practical tips and answers to your questions
You receive comments you can apply immediately — so you always know what to fix, what to keep, and how to level up.
What it gives you
You improve faster, avoid repeating the same mistakes, and see progress more clearly. And just as important — feedback keeps you supported and motivated,
so you’re far more likely to finish the course and reach the result you want.
Not just correction — guidance, clarity, and steady progress.

How online learning works
- All lessons are pre-recorded video lessons. You can watch them anytime and as many times as you need during your course access.
- Most lessons include practical assignments. You complete the task, take a photo of your work, and upload it to the platform.
- If your course option includes personal feedback, an instructor reviews your work and gives clear, practical recommendations: what to improve, what to focus on next, and answers to your questions. The task is approved or sent back for revision.
- If your course does not include feedback, you still upload your work, track your progress, and stay actively involved in the learning process.
